How to Turn On Translation on Captify Pro

Updated August 31, 2026

Captify Pro supports real-time translation in over 40 languages, allowing you to display translated captions directly on your glasses. Whether you're in a conversation or navigating a new environment, translation helps you stay connected and informed.

Before You Start

  • Ensure your glasses are charged, powered on, and paired with the Captify app.
  • You must be connected to the internet to use real-time translation.
  • Captions without translation can run offline using the offline model (see Settings).

Start a Captioning Session

  1. Open the Captify app on your phone.
  2. Tap the large Captify logo button on the main screen to begin captioning.

Enable Real-Time Translation

  1. On the captioning screen, tap the language icon in the top-right corner.
  2. Under "Speech Language", select the language being spoken.
  3. Toggle "Real-Time Translation" to ON.
  4. Choose your Translation Language — this is the language captions will be displayed in on your glasses.
  5. Tap OK to apply.

During the Session

  • Captions will appear in the language you selected for translation.
  • To pause or resume, use the in-app buttons or tap the side touchpad on the right arm of the glasses.
  • To stop the session, press Stop in the app.

After the Session

  • Transcripts are automatically saved to the app’s home screen.
  • Translated sessions are labeled under the "Translate" tab.

Offline Mode

  • If you don’t need translation, you can run basic captioning offline using the on-glass transcription model.
  • To switch between online and offline models, go to Settings → Captioning Model in the Captify app.

Troubleshooting

If translation is not working:

  • Ensure your phone has internet access (Wi-Fi or cellular)
  • Confirm that the correct speech and translation languages are selected
  • Try restarting the app and your glasses
