Captify Pro is designed for all-day use with intelligent power features. Below is everything you need to know about battery life, charging behavior, and ways to extend performance between charges.
Battery Life Overview
- 3–4 hours of continuous captioning in binocular mode (both lenses active)
- Up to 6 hours in monocular mode (one lens active — ideal for extended use)
- 48-hour standby mode — glasses remain ready but in low-power state
Charging and Usage
- Charging from 0% to 100% takes approximately 38 minutes
- You can use the glasses while charging
- To check battery status during charging, press the power button (bottom of right arm) once to view the battery percentage on the display
Tips to Maximize Battery Life
- Use monocular mode when both lenses aren’t needed (Settings → Display → Lens Mode)
- Lower caption brightness in Settings for reduced power consumption
- Use standby mode instead of turning the glasses off completely between uses
- In Settings → Set Display Timeout, set a short timeout (e.g., 30 seconds) so the display dims quickly when not in use
- Turn off live captions when not actively needed
LED Battery Status Indicators
- Orange LED: Charging in progress
- Green LED: Fully charged

I find the glasses do well for the first ten or 15 minutes of a conversation then seem to lag behind. This occurs even when the glasses are fully charged.
I find the same issue. (Transcription begins to lag behind)
And it doesn't always take 15 minutes to start this either..
Hopefully this will improve with software updates.
I do want to love these..
Same. They constantly drop and it takes 15 minutes of repeated attempts to get them transcribing again. Once, they worked for 25 minutes, then dropped although they usually drop much sooner. Then it takes me 10 or 15 minutes to get them going again. The last time I was using them they worked 5 minutes before dropping and tried for 20 minutes to coax them on to no avail. Also battery life much shorter than 3 hours. I have scoured help tips, tutorial, etc. They have super potential and needed so badly but perhaps they rushed them to market too soon.
I believe I have 45 days to return? Did I read that somewhere?
