Captify Pro supports real-time translation in over 40 languages, allowing you to display translated captions directly on your glasses. Whether you're in a conversation or navigating a new environment, translation helps you stay connected and informed.
Before You Start
- Ensure your glasses are charged, powered on, and paired with the Captify app.
- You must be connected to the internet to use real-time translation.
- Captions without translation can run offline using the offline model (see Settings).
Start a Captioning Session
- Open the Captify app on your phone.
- Tap the large Captify logo button on the main screen to begin captioning.
Enable Real-Time Translation
- On the captioning screen, tap the language icon in the top-right corner.
- Under "Speech Language", select the language being spoken.
- Toggle "Real-Time Translation" to ON.
- Choose your Translation Language — this is the language captions will be displayed in on your glasses.
- Tap OK to apply.
During the Session
- Captions will appear in the language you selected for translation.
- To pause or resume, use the in-app buttons or tap the side touchpad on the right arm of the glasses.
- To stop the session, press Stop in the app.
After the Session
- Transcripts are automatically saved to the app’s home screen.
- Translated sessions are labeled under the "Translate" tab.
Offline Mode
- If you don’t need translation, you can run basic captioning offline using the on-glass transcription model.
- To switch between online and offline models, go to Settings → Captioning Model in the Captify app.
Troubleshooting
If translation is not working:
- Ensure your phone has internet access (Wi-Fi or cellular)
- Confirm that the correct speech and translation languages are selected
- Try restarting the app and your glasses
