Before you can use your Captify Pro glasses, you need to bind them to the Captify app. This process connects your specific device to your phone and allows for seamless pairing in the future.
Follow the steps below, using the images in your app for reference:
1. Launch the Captify App
When you first open the app, check the top-left corner of the screen:
- If you see “+ Add”, your glasses have not yet been bound. Follow the steps below to complete the binding process.
- If you see a device name like “Captify Pro,” your glasses are already bound. You can skip this article and go directly to the Start Captioning with Captify section.
2. Tap “+ Add” to Begin Binding
Tap the + Add button to begin locating and binding a new pair of Captify Pro glasses. Ensure your glasses are powered on and near your phone.
Note: If your glasses are off, hold the power button on the bottom of the right arm for 2 seconds until the Captify logo appears.
3. Select Your Glasses from the List
Once scanning begins, you’ll see nearby Captify Pro devices appear in a list. Look for your device and tap it to bind. The device name may include a short identifier (e.g. “Captify Pro 4D32”).
4. Binding Successful
After tapping your glasses, they will appear at the top of the app with a status of “Connected”. This means the binding was successful, and you’re now ready to begin using captioning features.
Once bound, you’ll see:
- A “Captify Pro” label in the top-left of the home screen
- A Connected status beneath it
- Full access to captioning, translation, and settings
Your Captify glasses are now bound. From now on, they’ll automatically reconnect when powered on and near your phone. If the glasses do not automatically reconnect, open up the Captify app to trigger a connection.
