Welcome to Captify Pro! Before you head out, use this checklist to make sure everything is set up for a smooth experience with your captioning glasses.
Setup and Connection
- The Captify app is installed on your phone
- You’ve granted the app Bluetooth and microphone permissions
- Your Captify Pro glasses are fully charged
- Glasses are powered on and show the Captify startup logo
- “Captify Pro” appears in the top-left of the app, with status “Connected”
Binding and Pairing
- If this is your first time using the app, the glasses have been successfully bound
- App shows your device name instead of “+ Add”
- Glasses automatically reconnect when powered on
Prescription Lenses (If Applicable)
- Prescription inserts are installed, if you ordered them
- You’ve tested that captions are clear and readable with your lenses
Captioning Settings
- Default language is set (via the globe icon on the top right of the main menu)
- Audio input is set to either your phone or glasses’ microphones
- Caption brightness and position are adjusted to your preference
- The captioning model is selected to be on device or automatic (automatically switches between the local and streaming captioning models for optimal performance).
- Optional: Speaker Labels and Ambient Sound Detection are enabled
