Installing and Connecting the Captify App

The Captify app powers your Captify Pro glasses, enabling real-time captions, translation, and saved transcripts. Follow the steps below to install the app and connect your glasses.

1. Download the App

Search for “Captify Glass” in the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).

• Ensure you download the official app: Captify Glass
• Look for the Captify logo and confirm it is developed by Captify.

2. Open the App and Grant Permissions

Once installed:

• Open the Captify app
• When prompted, allow the app to access:
  • Bluetooth – required to connect to your glasses
  • Microphone – required for real-time transcription
  • Notifications – optional but helpful for alerts

3. Power On Your Glasses

• Hold the power button (bottom of the right arm) for 2 seconds until the Captify logo appears.
• Make sure the glasses are near your phone and Bluetooth is enabled.

4. Bind and Pair Your Glasses

• If this is your first time connecting:
  • You’ll see a “+ Add” button in the top-left of the app.
  • Tap it and follow the steps to bind your Captify Pro glasses.
• If your glasses are already bound, they will automatically appear in the app and connect when powered on.

5. Confirm Connection

You’ll know your glasses are connected when:

• The app shows “Captify Pro” in the top-left
• The status below says “Connected”
• Your glasses display shows the Captify home screen with “Transcribe” and “Settings” options

Your Captify Pro is now ready to use. You can begin captioning by pressing the Captify logo in the app’s main navigation bar.
