Follow these steps to power on your Captify Pro, connect to the app, and start using live captions. You can also watch the setup video for a full walkthrough.

Step 1: Charge Your Captify Pro
- Connect the USB-C to magnetic charging adapter to your Captify Pro charging port.
- Attach the USB-C charging cable to the adapter and plug it into a USB-C power source.
- The LED indicator will turn orange while charging and green when fully charged.
Step 2: Power On the Glasses
- Make sure your glasses are charged.
- Press the power button on the inside of the right temple:
- Off: Hold for 2 seconds until the Captify animated logo appears.
- Standby: Quickly press to wake (no logo).
- No response: Charge the glasses before trying again.
Step 3: Connect to Your Phone
- Download the Captify App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open the app and follow the pairing instructions to connect your Captify Pro via Bluetooth.
- You’ll know the glasses are connected if:
- The glasses display shows the main menu with “Transcribe” and “Settings.”
- The top-left corner of the Captify app shows “Captify Pro” with a status of “Connected”.
- If the app says:
- “Disconnected”: The glasses are bound but not currently paired.
- “+ Add”: The glasses haven’t been bound yet — follow the on-screen instructions to bind.
Step 4: Adjust Your Fit
- Try the included nosepad options (see our nosepad replacement guide) to find the most comfortable fit.
- Ensure the glasses sit so captions appear clearly in your field of view.
Step 5: Start a Captioning Session
- Press the blue Captify logo button in the center of the app's main navigation bar.
- This launches the captioning interface in the app and begins live captions on your glasses.
Step 6: Pause, Resume, or Stop Captions
- Press Pause in the app, or tap the touchpad on the middle right temple.
- Press Play in the app or tap again to resume.
- Press Stop in the app to end the session.
Step 7: Switch Captioning Language
- Tap the language icon in the app to change transcription language.
- Toggle “Translate,” choose a target language, and press OK to enable real-time translation.
Step 8: View Your Transcript
- The transcript appears in your main Captify app dashboard after a session ends.
- Tap any transcript to review it and use the All / Transcribe / Translate filters to sort.
Step 9: Adjust Captioning Settings

Settings (gear icon):
- Audio source: Choose phone mic or glasses’ built-in directional mics.
- Captioning model: Select online or offline speech recognition.
- Brightness: Adjust caption brightness.
- Caption position: Move captions higher/lower in your field of view (feature will be pushed in a upcoming app update)
- Ambient sound detection: Enable alerts for environmental sounds (feature will be pushed in a upcoming app update)
- Language selector (globe icon): Change transcription or translation language anytime.
Step 10: Power Off
- Press and hold the power button on the right temple for 5 seconds.
- When the power-off confirmation screen appears, tap the touchpad once to confirm.
💡 Tip: Captify Pro features powerful microphones to offer
improved performance in many listening environments. However, for the best
captioning accuracy, use your Captify Pro in quieter environments or within
close range of the speaker.
